One of the serviced apartments is set on the raised ground floor, while the other is on the first floor. There is a sense of elegance throughout, with high ceilings and stylish furnishings. This apartment is a world away from bland, ill-equipped hotels.

Each apartment has an open-plan living, dining and cooking area, with comfy sofas. The formal dining area has table and chairs and the well equipped kitchen features all (brand new) equipment. Benefit from an oven/hob, fridge (with small freezer compartment), dishwasher, microwave and washer-dryer.

The raised ground floor apartment has a flexible master bedroom, it can be made as a kingsize or twin beds. The smaller second bedroom in this flat has a small double bed (4 foot wide), so could easily sleep one adult, or two small children sharing. This apartment has a walk in shower.

The first floor apartment has a kingsize bed in the master room, while the smaller second bedroom is a twin.   The bathroom has a large bath with shower over. There is no lift in the building, so stairs are involved.

All linen and towels are provided, with extra linen supplied for stays of more than a week.

Free WiFi is available and parking permits can be provided for just £2 per day. However, a car isn't essential given the central location and easy access to public transport. There are direct trains to London, Brighton, Lewes, Gatwick airport Bexhill and Hastings.

Central Eastbourne ideal for restaurants, shops, tennis centre. The 1st Floor apartment at Bicknell House is located in Central Eastbourne with easy access to restaurants, shops, theatres and the tennis centre. The beach, bandstand and pier are only a few minutes walk. The 1812 Overture Music Night every Wednesday evening at the Bandstand is brilliant. Parking permits current cost £1 per day provide access to Hyde Gardens parking spaces and nearby streets. The Tourist Information office is a few yards away and offers many useful free booklets covering events and attractions in the area.

Greeted by a lovely gentleman we were shown around and given all the basic information we needed. As the building has recently been renovated it gives each room a more open and modern feel. The property is very close to all the shops and public transport you may need (and Starbucks!). Directly opposite is the tourist information centre for Eastbourne so there's always somewhere new for you to discover. We did encounter one incident with our key breaking but the matter was resolved with such urgency that it did not cause us any inconvenience. For us it was a home away from home that we will definitely be returning to!!

Lovely flat, ideal and ideally situated for us.
This is a lovely flat.
Everything works (except the bathroom door lock). We appreciated the neutral décor.
The flat and the furniture are comfortable and clean, without exception, and very well equipped.
The location suited us perfectly, right in the town centre, but undisturbed by traffic.

Lovely flat, very central.
Really lovely stay. Great location, clean and lovely flat. We stayed as a family of 4, the kids are small (3 & 5) and happily shared the small double.

There is a week-long minimum stay in peak season, although flexible arrival days may be possible out of season.

Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £200 security deposit.   To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival.  For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit and/or booking deposit.

The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time.  Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes or place in the dishwasher and switch on before you leave.  If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.

The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.

The property can only be used for the maximum number shown on the booking correspondence.   It must not be used for improper, illegal or immoral purposes.   Guests must not sub-let the property and must not change, add, move or remove any items of furniture, furnishings or structures inside or outside.   Guests must not cause (nor allow any visitors to cause) any nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to neighbours, the property owner or the property owner’s agent.
