There is something hypnotically relaxing about the sound and sight of the sea, so if you are keen to unwind, this gorgeous Pevensey Bay beach house is a great short let option.

Tides Cottage is located in Pevensey Bay, a tranquil seaside village near Eastbourne.  It has a glorious decked garden opening directly on to a private beach and stunning sea views from its balcony.

This contemporary Pevensey Bay beach house sleeps six comfortably across three bedrooms, which each boast a kingsize bed and TV.   These are located on the ground floor, along with a shower room.   The living space is upstairs to make the most of the panoramic water views, along with a second bathroom.

The self catering kitchen is equipped with twin ovens, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and a wine cooler.  A washing machine and tumble dryer are located in a utility cupboard off the upstairs bathroom.

Six people can dine at the table and there is lots of comfy seating for relaxing in front of the Smart TV or to soak up the view. You'll even find a telescope on hand to get a closer glimpse of boats sailing past or to star gaze and, if the nights get chilly, the wood-burning stove will add to the cosy atmosphere.

The main, sea-facing garden has lots of seating and there is also a rear patio with outdoor dining set, so you can chase the sun around. Or take a seat on the balcony, which is accessed via sliding doors from the lounge.

Two cars can park in front of the property and its beach garden. WiFi is available, and linen and regular towels are provided (bring your own beach/swimming towels), as with all our short term rentals.

A small convenience store is just a few minutes walk away, plus various restaurants and pubs. An Asda superstore and the wider restaurants and shops of Sovereign Harbour's Waterfront area are just a mile down the road.

Eastbourne is just five miles away, and it is a 15-minute drive to Bexhill-on-Sea from this serviced accommodation.  There are also regular buses, plus a train service from Pevensey Bay, so this comfortable beach cottage is easily accessible.

"Don't Hesitate - Just Book it!"
Impressive property, set in a quiet location, and is well maintained and equipped with modern bathrooms and kitchen. All rooms in good order and recently decorated (June 2019). Living area with wide sliding doors opens onto a full sized balcony giving views across the private beach garden and then directly over the sea. Shed in the garden has a full height drinks chiller and barbecue so no excuse for going hungry or thirsty. Ample parking for 2 large cars / SUV at the front of the property: also includes a secluded rear garden / patio if you can tear yourself away from view at the front. Thoroughly recommended.

Perfekter Urlaub am Strand
Wunderschönes sehr stylisches aber trotzdem gemütliches Haus, groß, hell , blitzsauber . Komplette Kueche, es fehlt an nichts. Größtes Highlight der Garten am Strand , luxuriös möbliert ,gemütlich, mit Barbecue, Haeuschen zum wechseln der Badekleidung, Kühlschrank sehr hilfreich. Fuer uns perfekt, sofort neu gebucht. Netter Vermieter, alles zwanglos obwohl wir es anfangs nicht finden konnten.

Beautiful very stylish but comfortable house, large, bright, sparkling clean. Complete kitchen, nothing is missing. Biggest highlight of the garden on the beach, luxuriously furnished, comfortable, with barbecue, little house to change your bathing suit, fridge very helpful. Perfect for us, immediately re-booked. Nice landlord, everything casual although we could not find it at first.)

Tidal Retreat.
A perfect retreat away from it all. The accommodation was very clean and cosy. There is an amazing view of the sea from the living area. The beach deck seating and landscaping gives it a Floridian feel, somewhere you feel instantly relaxed. Lots to do and see in the area but we decided just to chill, read and watch the friendly seal playing in the waves! Would certainly return again.

Holiday home with a stunning sea view.
Super family holiday enjoying lovely views of the sea and garden from a stylish comfortable lounge with balcony. Clean well equipped rooms throughout. Relaxing seating area at the end of the garden overlooking the beach. Local shops and eateries within walking distance.

Exhilarating weather fabulous to watch from the comfortable lounge.
We expected mixed weather being end of September and beginning of October, and we had it all thrown at us. It didn't matter one jolt no matter what was happening outside it was fabulous to watch the sea from the lovely house.
Could not have been better.
Sun broke through on the 3rd day and we enjoyed lovely long walks on the pebble beach.
The area is stunning.

Fantastic location.
Location on the beach at Pevensey was fantastic. The property is very well equipped and maintained. Bedrooms all had large wide screen TVs in them and were exceptionally comfortable and very high quality. View from the living room is brilliant. This cottage is a cut above anything we have stayed in and I highly recommend exclusively Eastbourne for the booking, everything was straightforward.

Storm Ciara!
We had a fabulous weekend staying at Tides cottage. It was a contrast in weather fronts.
The sunshine and warmth on Saturday allowed us a a day outside with the kids. We walked along the beach towards Norman’s Bay. Then we walked later along Beachy Head.
Storm Ciara was invigorating and we walked along the top of the beach enjoying the crashing waves.
The view from the cottage was great and afforded us some much needed relaxation.
The cottage was really cosy and well equipped.
Loved our stay here.

LOVED this “Perfect pet-friendly beach location”
The location is amazing - the beach is on the doorstep! This is a great family-friendly house with a very private decking right on the beach. Along with the back patio and front balcony, you can be outside in most weathers. Exceptional amenities: Nespresso coffee machine, Nespresso milk whipper, wine fridge, large freeze, large fridge, TV;s everywhere, and drinks fridge out front on decking, and what more could you need! A lot of effort has been put into into the decor, all of which was in good taste, good quality and well maintained. We cant wait to return

Fantastic house in superb location.
Everything well appointed from the thread count on the sheets to a well stocked house as comfortable as your own home.
Could not recommend this more highly and we will return to stay again.

There is a week-long minimum stay and bookings run from Saturday to Saturday in peak season, although flexible arrival days and short breaks may be possible out of season.

Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £200 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 per week booked (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit. The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.

The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes or load into the dishwasher and switch on. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.

Dogs are considered on a selective basis and, if approved, a supplement will apply. Please contact Exclusively Eastbourne to discuss your pet if you wish to bring them. Any pet given permission to come must not be allowed on the beds or furniture or left in the property alone. They must only use a pet bed and pet bowls that you bring with you. You will be expected to clean up after your pet and are liable for any damage it causes. Please bring a separate towel for your dog to wipe muddy / sandy paws before entering the cottage.

The property can only be used for the maximum number shown on the booking correspondence. It must not be used for improper, illegal or immoral purposes. Guests must not sub-let the property and must not change, add, move or remove any items of furniture, furnishings or structures inside or outside. Guests must not cause (nor allow any visitors to cause) any nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to neighbours, the property owner or the property owner’s agent. Strictly no smoking throughout the house.
