Thorne Lodge is one of our most centrally located Sussex serviced apartments.  Set in central Eastbourne, this modern apartment provides ideal self catering accommodation for up to four people which is close to all the action.

This period property retains the high ceilings, sash windows and elegant entrance of its Victorian heritage. This period elegance is then complemented by a modern and stylish interior offering relaxing living.

The town centre restaurants and shops are moments away, and this serviced accommodation is ideally located for visitors to Eastbourne College, the theatres and Towner Art Gallery.

The train station, with direct links to London Victoria, Gatwick Airport, Lewes, Bexhill and Hastings is around a five minute walk away.

Sussex serviced apartments

This family friendly apartment has a spacious master bedroom, which can be set up as a kingsize or twin beds.  This room has a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables.  The smaller second bedroom has bunk beds (full size singles suitable for adults as well as children).

Stylishly appointed and practical, the lounge area has a chic red sofa and armchairs and there is a Smart TV which gives broader viewing options through internet-based services such as Netflix, BBCiPlayer and other catch-up services.

The compact kitchen includes a fridge, oven, hob and microwave, plus a decent supply of utensils - although with a great range of restaurants on your doorstep, there is no need to cook! The dining table comfortable seats four for a night in with a bottle of wine.

The bathroom has a bath with shower over, and houses a small washing machine. This serviced apartment is centrally heated and also includes free WiFi.

All linen and regular towels are provided (bring your beach towels), along with welcome teas, coffees and hotel style toiletries to get you started.

Parking permits are available for £1 per day for on-street parking (Sundays free).

"We loved this stylish apartment! It is central, modern and very thoughtfully designed".

We were travelling with our 9-month old baby and the agent set up a travel cot in the 2nd bedroom. This room had cute bunkbeds in, so this flat would also be great for parents with older children. Our bed was massive - which was helpful when our little one decided she preferred to sleep with us, despite having her own lovely room!

We loved the fact that there was a big smart TV for cosy evenings in. We have a Netflix account so were able to log in and watch movies once our daughter went to sleep.

The kitchen is compact but well equipped - one thing to note is that there isn't a freezer, just a fridge, so bear that in mind when you are shopping.

The location is fab - at the top of the street is South Street, which has some great cafes and boutique shops.

“A beautiful and spotlessly clean apartment with everything you could need”

We were delighted to find everywhere spotless which was very important to us. Beds and bedding were comfortable and the place very bright and airy. There was even enough armchair seating for everyone without any squabbles! The location is great too. Five minute walk to sea front and about the same to train station and shopping centre. We would surely recommend this beautiful flat to anyone and would stay there again.

“Faultless accommodation”.

We stayed at this property in early April and booked it based on a review by an earlier occupier. The photos on Tripadviser were an accurate indication of the flat which had apparently only recently become available. We were made to feel very welcome by the agents acting on behalf of the owners.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that the flat was truly spotless with most if not all the kitchen equipment and furniture almost new.
As far as location is concerned, you could not really be better positioned, the train station is only a 10 minute walk away.

“Beautiful apartment in a great location”

The apartment is a newly refurbished purpose built Victorian Flat finished to a very high standard. Everything is practically brand new!
It has one spacious living room with open plan kitchen and a dining table big enough for 4 adults. There is a smart TV, a DVD player that offer plenty of entertainment if you'd rather stay in for the evenings... We particularly loved the big sash windows that make the room incredibly bright and airy.
The master bedroom has a comfortable king size bed with lots of storage spaces. There's also a small bedroom with bunk beds I'd imagine would be perfect for families with young children. The bathroom again is spotlessly clean and beautifully arranged. There's even a small washing machine!

"Great value comfortable apartment"

A great base to explore the East Sussex coastline. Comfortable accommodation with everything we needed for our stay. The location was very central to both the town centre and the beach. A very reasonable rate for half term too.

We had an excellent stay.
The apartment is in a fantastic location close to the sea, town and station.
Brilliant restaurants, pubs and cafes are nearby.
It was spotlessly clean, bright and airy.
Communication couldn't have been better.
I would highly recommend a stay here.
It was our first visit to Eastbourne and we loved it!

Cozy, clean, good located apartment.
Very good communication with the owner, smart flexible system of getting the keys.
Absolutely everything you need for living is present in the apartment (incl kitchen stuff, WiFi and other details).
Clean and cozy environment.
Close to the ocean and close to the city centre.

This property does not accept pets.   Smoking is not permitted.

There is a week-long minimum stay and bookings run from Sunday to Sunday in peak season, although flexible arrival days may be possible out of season.

Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £200 security deposit.   To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival.  For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit and/or booking deposit.

The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time.  Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes before you leave.  If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.

The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.

The property can only be used for the maximum number shown on the booking correspondence.   It must not be used for improper, illegal or immoral purposes.   Guests must not sub-let the property and must not change, add, move or remove any items of furniture, furnishings or structures inside or outside.   Guests must not cause (nor allow any visitors to cause) any nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to neighbours, the property owner or the property owner’s agent.
