Sail Away is a cracking example of a dog friendly Eastbourne house in Sovereign Harbour - modern, practical and ideally set up for families who are looking for a short term lease.

The fully equipped and furnished house is situated in a quiet corner of an inner quay at Sovereign Harbour and is literally next to and overlooking the water. There is also a private mooring for motor boats available for those of a nautical persuasion.

The townhouse is set over three floors, providing a spacious house for up to five, so ideal for families or colleagues working around Eastbourne, Bexhill, Hastings and St Leonards.

Dog friendly Eastbourne accommodation

The master bedroom has a kingsize bed on the top floor, with marina views and an ensuite shower room. There is also the family bathroom on this floor – with bath and shower over.

The first floor has a single bedroom with bunk beds and a fitted wardrobe. There is also an additional single bedroom, so up to five guests can sleep in these permanent beds. A small extra mattress (small child aged five or below), can also be provided to accommodate a total of six.

On the first floor, the lounge has two comfy sofas with views through patio doors leading to your private balcony. The balcony gifts wonderful views of the inner harbour and is a relaxing spot to gather your thoughts.

Downstairs is the modern dining kitchen, with window views over the water, and doors opening up to your waterside garden. The kitchen has a dishwasher, washer dryer and plenty of cooking equipment, making this great self catering accommodation.

Dogs may be considered if they're well behaved and will remain on the ground floor so this could suit those looking for dog friendly cottages. Please contact us to discuss and let us know a little more about your dog (£50 supplement will also apply).

WiFi is provided, plus all towels and linen and enough tea, coffee and milk for a welcome drink on arrival. There is parking for one vehicle on the driveway and additional visitor parking spaces close to the property.

The Waterside, with its cosmopolitan mix of bars, cafes and restaurants are just a short walk away. There is the practicality of an Asda, Boots, cinema and broad selection of shops, also very close by.

Walk along the promenade or drive to Eastbourne's town centre, which offers a wider variety of shops, restaurants and theatres, plus a direct train link to London, Lewes, Brighton, Gatwick Airport and Ashford International.

Location is Great, close to everything, shops, seafront, eating places. The view is fantastic. The beach is just walk away. Actually, if you are fun of walking , you can walk to get to almost all places that interest you. The place is excellent clean, fully furnished. But would not recommend to people with mobility problem. 1st is the entry way , toilet dining and kitchen and will lead you towards the back facing water, 2nd is the living room with TV and 2 bed rooms , 3rd floor ,you can find the en suite master bedroom and 1 more full bath room. 2nd and 3rd have also the view of the water) Out of 100% I will rate the place 98% only because, the dryer was not working while we were there, thank God for the weather we were able to dry our clothes with no problem. oh by the way, lots of books and games for the children. And last but not the least. Thanks Carl for warmly welcoming us and for being there for our inquires. We will visit again.

Fantastic location
We had a wonderful week and the house is in a fantastic location. The accommodation has everything that you could possibly need. As we were a couple, we didn't need to use all the accommodation but it was all well proportioned and plenty of space. We didn't have the opportunity to use the outside space because it was a little too cold but can imagine ut would be a great place to spend time overlooking the marina. All essential amenities are a short walk or drive away. The centre of Eastbourne is about 3 miles and is reachable by a lovely walk along the promenade.

Wonderful location and lovely house
We stayed for an extended 12 week break while waiting for our house to be completed.The house overlooks the harbour and we spent a great deal of time just eating outside or enjoying a cup of coffee and watching the boats coming and going. The area is quiet and peaceful but only minutes away from a good shopping area.The house is furnished well with everything you could need.it is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as the house is organised over three floors and the stairs are quite steep. Everything was very clean and confortable. We enjoyed being able to walk to the large array of restaurants which cater for every taste. Sitting out in the evening under the lights people watching and boat watching was very enjoyable .We could all enjoy a drink without worrying about driving and best of all the walk back was 5 minutes!! I would certainly recommend this house.

Summer Holiday.
The location was perfect for touring around east Sussex and West Kent.
The property was clean and well maintained with everything we needed for a great holiday.
We spent most evenings on the patio watching boaters and playing endless rounds of Connect 4 (there is a good selection of games and DVDs in the Welsh Dresser).
We would definitely return to this property and recommend it.

Lovely house, great location, very quiet and relaxing. Mornings sitting on the marina were fantastic and great position to do mtb riding in Friston Forrest, could just set off and ride from the house and get a good ride in. My kids enjoyed it, lots to do in the area. Highly recommend it.

There is a week-long minimum stay and bookings run from Saturday to Saturday in peak season, although flexible arrival days and shorter lets may be possible out of season.

Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £200 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 per week booked (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit and/or booking deposit.

The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes or place in the dishwasher and switch on before you leave. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.

Dogs are considered on a selective basis and, if approved, a supplement will apply.   Please contact Exclusively Eastbourne to discuss your pet if you wish to bring them.   Any pet given permission to come must not be allowed on the beds or furniture or left in the property alone.  They must only use a pet bed and pet bowls that you bring with you.  You will be expected to clean up after your pet and are liable for any damage it causes. Please bring a separate towel for your dog to wipe muddy / sandy paws before entering the house.

The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.

The property can only be used for the maximum number shown on the booking correspondence. It must not be used for improper, illegal or immoral purposes. Guests must not sub-let the property and must not change, add, move or remove any items of furniture, furnishings or structures inside or outside. Guests must not cause (nor allow any visitors to cause) any nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to neighbours, the property owner or the property owner’s agent.
