Located beside the popular Ship Inn on Meads High Street, the cottage is perfectly positioned to enjoy the charm of village life, with independent cafés, restaurants, and local shops all just steps away.
Inside, there are two stylish bedrooms - the spacious master bedroom includes a king-size bed and a private ensuite shower room, while the second bedroom offers a flexible set up with a zip-and-link bed that can either be a kingsize or split into two singles. There is an additional family bathroom, complete with a bathtub and overhead shower, making this delightful property an ideal choice for families, friends, or couples holidaying together.
The kitchen is fully kitted out for self-catered stays and includes a gas hob, double oven (including a combination microwave oven), fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washer-dryer. The living space is bathed in natural light and features comfortable seating, a smart TV, and a dining area, creating a welcoming space to relax after a day by the coast. From both the kitchen and living area, doors open onto a private sun-trap garden — perfect for morning coffee, leisurely afternoons or evening drinks.
Just a brief walk to the end of the road brings you to Meads seafront, where you can enjoy scenic promenade walks or venture west towards the striking cliffs of Beachy Head and the iconic Seven Sisters for unforgettable coastal hikes. Alternatively, head east along the seafront to lead you to Eastbourne's iconic Pier and onwards to Sovereign Harbour.
This Eastbourne holiday let is within easy reach of Eastbourne’s most popular attractions — including Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club, Towner Gallery, local theatres, and the town centre — all just 20 - 25 minutes away on foot.
The cottage includes complimentary WiFi throughout, ideal for staying connected during your stay, whether for streaming, emails, or the occasional remote working day.
Fresh white bed linen and fluffy towels are provided, with additional linen supplied for stays of two weeks or longer (beach towels are not provided, so please bring your own).
Families are warmly welcomed, and the property is suitable for children of all ages. One well-behaved small-to-medium sized adult dog may also be accepted by prior arrangement (contact us to discuss before booking - £50 supplement applies), so your four-legged companion can enjoy the seaside escape too.
We can provide parking permits that cover the High Street and other surrounding roads, however there are also roads with free, unrestricted parking just a short walk away.

Smoking is not permitted in this property. Minimum age of lead guest 25+.
There is a week-long minimum stay in peak season, although flexible arrival days may be possible out of season.
Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £200 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 per week booked (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit.
The checkout time is 10am on the morning of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes before you depart. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonably messy or dirty state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.
The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.
A small-to-medium sized dog will be considered on a selective basis and, if approved, a £50 supplement will apply. Please contact Exclusively Eastbourne to discuss your pet if you wish to bring them. Any pet given permission to come must not be allowed on the beds or furniture or left in the property alone. They must only use a pet bed and pet bowls that you bring with you. You will be expected to clean up after your pet and are liable for any damage it causes. Please bring a separate towel for your dog to wipe muddy / sandy paws before entering the property.
The property can only be used for the maximum number shown on the booking correspondence. It must not be used for improper, illegal or immoral purposes. Guests must not sub-let the property and must not change, add, move or remove any items of furniture, furnishings or structures inside or outside. Guests must not cause (nor allow any visitors to cause) any nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to neighbours, the property owner or the property owner’s agent.
