If you're looking for an East Sussex Airbnb that has the beach at the end of the road, is within easy reach of local amenities yet has a tranquil, boho vibe, Seaside Hideout ticks all the boxes.

Situated in the Lower Meads area of Eastbourne, this fully furnished apartment is moments away from the cultural Devonshire Quarter, where you'll find a selection of theatres including the Congress and Devonshire Park, as well as the Towner Art Gallery.

Eastbourne's Beacon Shopping Centre is also within easy reach, with its plethora of high street shops and restaurants - check out our page on places to eat and drink if you need some local recommendations! If smaller, independent shops and cafes are more your style, head to the Little Chelsea area or wander down to the Enterprise Centre for a selection of local businesses.

Set on the top floor (with no lift, so lots of stairs), this apartment can comfortably sleep up to four people across two bedrooms, both with kingsize beds.

The bathroom has a bath if you fancy indulging in a long soak, with the alternative option of a large rainfall shower over.

The kitchen oozes calm, flooded with natural light and kitted out with a fridge-freezer, cooker with gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine and an array of pots, pans and cooking equipment.

For those needing to catch up on work, there is a handy study area, split over two mezzanine style levels. Please note that this area is not suitable for children due to the open staircase and different levels - it can be bolted closed during your stay, but this is at your discretion.

The lounge has a large, comfortable sofa and an additional chair in front of the smart TV - perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring all that Eastbourne has to offer.

All linen and regular towels are supplied (please bring your own beach towels), with a second set supplied for stays of two weeks or more. Free WiFi is included and there is an allocated parking space for one car. If you have more than one vehicle, we can supply parking permits for nearby streets that cost £2 per day.

A car is far from essential given the prime central location, with Eastbourne train station less than a mile away where you can catch regular services to venture to different parts of the south coast including Bexhill, Hastings, Lewes and Brighton. There are also direct services to London Victoria and Gatwick Airport.

Minimum age of lead guest 25+. Smoking, parties and pets are not permitted.

There is a week-long minimum stay in peak season and bookings run from Friday to Friday, although flexible arrival days and short stays may be possible out of season and last minute.

Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £200 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 per week booked (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit and/or booking deposit.

The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes or place in the dishwasher and switch on before you leave. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonably messy or dirty state requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.

The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.

The property can only be used for the maximum number shown on the booking correspondence. It must not be used for improper, illegal or immoral purposes. Guests must not sub-let the property and must not change, add, move or remove any items of furniture, furnishings or structures inside or outside. Guests must not cause (nor allow any visitors to cause) any nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to neighbours, the property owner or the property owner’s agent.
